APPLE TREE VILLA

Terms & Conditions 

When you confirm your booking by the payment of a deposit, or the full cost of the booking, you are entering into a contract between you (‘the customer’) and Apple Tree Villa. Please read the following conditions of let carefully, and ask for an explanation of any point that may be unclear to you.

Payment
A firm booking will be made on receipt of a completed booking form, either on-line or in by email, and a deposit paid to the value £100.
The customer is then liable for payment of the balance of the total sum due. The remainder of balance due should be received by six weeks prior to arrival. In the event of bookings made within six weeks of the arrival date, the full amount will be due at the time of booking.

If the balance payment is not received within 6 weeks of arrival the booking will be treated as a cancellation. Any monies paid up to and including the date of cancellation will not be refunded.

Receipt and banking of any deposit monies will not constitute acceptance of a booking.

Bookings can be refused at any time prior to the issue of a written holiday confirmation. We will promptly return any monies you have paid and be under no other liability.

Loss/Damage Deposit

For each holiday booked we ask that a £100 deposit be paid with the balance payment, prior to the holiday commencement date. This is in addition to the total cost of the holidayThis will be returned to you less the cost of any loss, damage or excessive cleaning to the property resulting from your stay. A full refund will be made within 10 days of the departure date, provided there is no missing inventory and the accommodation and equipment are in a clean and undamaged condition on departure.

Payment Methods

Payment can be made online by PayPal or by cheque.

Cancellations

In the event of cancellation the deposit is non-returnable and the following scale of charges will apply dependant on timescale:-

More than 6 weeks :                   Deposit retained (any additional monies paid will be refunded)
6 to 4 weeks :                            50% of total holiday cost
4 to 2 weeks :                            75% of holiday cost
Less than 2 weeks :                    100% of holiday cost

All cancellations must be notified in writing by the customer and received by Appletree Villa as soon as possible.  Cancellation charges will be calculated on receipt of cancellation notification.  We would recommend that you take out holiday insurance, which includes cancellation cover.

Times

The letting period runs from 4.00pm on the day of arrival to 10.00am on the day of departure. Times may be flexible on request dependant on previous or following on guests.

Keys may be collected between 4.00pm and 10.00pm on the day of arrival. Please notify us in advance if you anticipate a late arrival. An emergency contact telephone number is supplied with your holiday confirmation in case of unexpected delays.

Responsibility

The accommodation rented should be kept clean and in good condition and any breakages reported immediately. If excessive cleaning or replacement of breakages or repairs for any damage is required, at the discretion of Apple Tree Villa, then these additional costs will be levied against the customer. In the event that the cost of putting right the property owing to damage or negligence by the customer exceeds the security deposit, then Apple Tree Villa will persue the customer for any outstanding amounts.

Occupancy

Only those persons listed on the booking form may occupy the property. Sub-letting or assignation of the let is strictly prohibited. If this condition is breached we have the right to terminate the contract immediately, without refund. We reserve the right to terminate where all material facts are not disclosed. Any unauthorised extension of stay will be charged at the full daily rate.  Units cannot be rented to persons under eighteen.

No Smoking

Apple Tree Villa is a no smoking establishment.  For the comfort of future guests, we would ask that you refrain from smoking inside the house.  It is acceptable to smoke outside in the garden area providing cigarette ends are disposed of carefully and respectfully. 

Pets

Customers may bring dogs by prior arrangement providing they are house trained and kept under control.  No charge is made for this and there is an expectation that you leave the property dog hair and odour free.  If additional cleaning is required due to this not being undertaken, charges will be made. 

Pets should bring their own bedding and are not permitted on the furniture.  They should not be left unattended in the property at any time.  Any fouling in the garden areas must be picked up and disposed of.

Noise

Apple Tree Villa is a semi-detached house and as such we would ask that out of respect for the neighbours that noise is kept to acceptable levels, particularly after 10pm.

Protection of guests and property

We reserve the right to refuse to hand over the accommodation to anyone who, in the opinion of our staff, is not suitable to take charge of the property. In such a case all monies shall be refunded and the Contract terminated without further liability. We also reserve the right to terminate the Contract at any time or remove any person or persons due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to property or causing or likely to cause annoyance or offence to other guests. In such a case any refund would be entirely at the discretion of Apple Tree Villa.  Our staff have the right to enter the property at any time as circumstances may demand without prior notice.

Personal Effects/Accidents

Apple Tree Villa will not be responsible for the loss or damage to personal property of guests occupying the
accommodation. Vehicles, their accessories and contents are left at your own risk.  We will not be responsible for any injury or death, save insofar as it results from the proven negligence of our staff. All our guests are encouraged to ensure that they have adequate insurance for their holiday.

Customer Terms and Conditions

You, the customer, are using Holiday Bookings Online Limited whose Registered Office is 35 Skeggles Close Huntingdon Cambridgeshire PE29 6SN ('we/us') for the purposes of obtaining details of availability and prices of a holiday facility already selected by you and for the purposes of communicating conveniently with the Owner ('the Owner') of that holiday facility. In consideration of our granting you access to this site it is agreed and declared:
 

  1. All the information provided on this site is provided and maintained by the Owner and we shall not be liable for any errors mis-information or otherwise arising from your use of it.
  2. Any booking made by you via this site shall constitute an offer [should you wish to withdraw your offer you should liaise immediately with the Owner] by you to the Owner capable of acceptance by the Owner but shall in every case be subject to your payment direct to the Owner of the deposit or full payment for the holiday upon the Owner’s Standard Terms and Conditions which will be shown to you prior to booking..
  3. Holiday Bookings Online Limited are not parties to any contract made by you for any holiday facility.
